What if I purchase a knife (or other bladed weapon) and it breaks unexpectedly?

Contact us immediately so we can figure out what happened. Contact us at: support@alitmove.com

What if I receive a knife (or other bladed weapon) and it appears to have defects?

Please contact us within 72 business hours from the day you receive your order. (This is the time allowed for reporting defective returns. Be sure that you take a close look at the item when you receive it.) Also, refer to our returns and refunds page here.

What if it appears to be defective after minor use (it wasn’t used for sparring)?

If you notice that the item appears to be defective based on something that occurs to it, then contact us as soon as possible. We can discuss what occurred and decide if it is defective, or if something else occurred. However, if you are not completely satisfied, either (1) we will take it back and give you a full refund, or (2) we will take it back and charge a 20% restocking fee. This decision will depend on what occurred with the item after you received it and began to keep it. We will make the ultimate decision based on the following factors: (a) when did you receive it, (2) did it receive damage during shipping, (c) did you spar with the item, and (d) did damage occur just by minor use (not including sparring). Booking Questions (for Services):

When booking you for a move, can I just call/text (via email) you without a consultation?

Technically, yes, but please send an email in that case. It’s important to determine what your projects needs are.

What’s a consultation?

A consultation is really just a quick conversation to figure out what your project needs are. If you are planning to move, do you need a rental “box” truck, or just a pickup(s), for example? If you need an item to be picked up at point A and need it delivered to point B, how soon is your delivery ready for pick up, and when would you like it delivered to you? If you need packing help, how many rooms do you have, and do you need packing materials? If you are asking for a clean of your home/business, how large is your home/business office?

Service Questions:

How are services performed?

Currently, Randy Willis (the site owner) is carrying out the tasks of different services offered on this website. He performs all the services and store orders himself (unless otherwise advised during your booking). If additional help is needed to complete your project, other independent professionals (who work for moving companies) can be called upon for additional assistance to complete a project.

How are contracted independent movers get paid?

These movers are not employed by A-Lit-Move, and we do not collect payments for their services. Hence, balance of service performed is to be paid directly to them.

Can I book you for one type of service only?

Yes, you can!

What kind of Cleaning projects do you perform?

  • Scheduled regular house cleaning

  • Move-in/Move-out deep cleaning

  • General residential/office cleaning

  • Various specialized cleaning (inquire)

  • Donations/drop-offs/haul-away (moving projects)

Guarantees Questions:

What kind of guarantee do you offer for your services?

The work performed is based on pro skills and experience. Different guarantees are offered for services depending on the service performed. Refer to the service page(s) for further details on guarantees offered. Also refer to the legal disclaimer at the bottom of our site.

Security Deposit Questions:

What is a Security Deposit?

It is a deposit that a Customer pays to reserve a truck for an upcoming move, or if a truck is required for a delivery of a product purchased at a store.

When is a Security Deposit needed?

When a rental truck is being requested. If you are providing your own truck, no security deposit is needed.

Why is a Security Deposit needed?

Rental trucks/vans are expensive to rent, and so the security deposit helps to offset the cost of truck/van rental expenses that will be passed on from the truck leasor. Also, in case you need to cancel less than 24 hours prior to start time, the security deposit you pay will not be refunded because of service payment required by truck leasor.

Once a Service is completed, what happens to my security deposit?

Once your move or delivery has been completed, your security deposit fee goes towards paying part of the truck expenses. The balance of truck expenses will be billed with labor costs.
